began his piano study at age of six and he had received awards from the Hong Kong and the Macau International Piano Competitions; Taught by Prof. SownLe Cho, he gained DipABRSM at  age of 18 and one year later, he received LRSM and LTCL with distinction before he was admitted by the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he was taught by Tessa Nicholsson. In 2013, he received the highest performing diploma FRSM from ABRSM. In the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden he completed his Master degree taught by the Vice-Dean for Artistic Practice, Prof. Florian Uhlig. Also, he was selected as one of eight participants to attend the Masterclass with Andreas Haefliger and performed in the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.

 

Zhiyang’s teaching career has focused on helping many advanced students achieve diploma certificates in ABRSM piano performance, with outstanding results. He is very happy to share his knowledge with students of any level and help more students to build a solid foundation in classical music, achieve excellent exam results, and enjoy playing music of all styles.
